The Mills Association in Lebanon announced, in a statement, that “it was agreed between the assembly and the Ministers of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, Industry George Bouchikian and Agriculture Abbas Hajj Hassan, that the mill deliveries would be limited to flour intended for the Arab bread industry, in order to continue the production of this type of flour. flour for the largest possible period, and until additional quantities of wheat arrive, especially since the concerned ministers are making the necessary contacts with global markets and these endeavors may yield positive results, and therefore there is no need to panic and rush to bakeries and store flour and bread.” The assembly stressed that “wheat is available, and close cooperation between the ministers of economy, trade, industry and agriculture, and the assembly is in place, with the aim of maintaining the supply situation and securing foodstuffs permanently.”
