The General Directorate of Public Security has started the procedures for establishing a border crossing between Lebanon and Syria in the Mutribe area in the city of Hermel in the northern Bekaa. Yesterday, technical teams began erecting communication poles in the area where the crossing will be established, which will be intended for pedestrians and private cars, and goods will not be allowed to move through it. The crossing provides the residents of the Hermel district and the Lebanese residents of the Al-Assi Basin villages within the Syrian border to travel long distances through the Al-Qaa border crossing to reach their towns and villages.
