Hariri’s meeting with the bloc came as a result of the parliament’s desire to know how to approach the upcoming parliamentary elections in light of the decision to suspend his political work and the political work of the Future Movement

Prime Minister Saad Hariri told the bloc’s deputies, “I cannot prevent and allow anyone to run for office and leave the freedom to every deputy to assess the position of his candidacy or not, provided that this is not under the umbrella of the future.”

Prime Minister Saad Hariri informed his deputies to exercise their legislative role and not to boycott any of the parliament’s sessions and discuss the budget. But if matters reach a proposal to extend parliament in the future, the decision is to resign from the parliament immediately.
