This is what some banks did with employees regarding circular 161.
A number of banks have recently obligated citizens who receive their salaries through them to sign documents stating that they will no longer benefit from Circular No. 161 issued by the Banque du Liban, during the process of obtaining funds from banks.
This means that the employee will not receive his salary in dollars from the bank, based on the circular that stipulates the possibility of receiving the lira in hard currency. Accordingly, the employee is obligated to receive his money in Lebanese pounds exclusively, as these banks have imposed this matter on him.
