Turkish President Erdogan announced his intention to conduct an official visit to the United Arab Emirates next February. This came in response to journalists’ questions during his return from Turkmenistan, which he visited to participate in the summit of leaders of the Economic Cooperation Organization. In this regard, Erdogan said: “I would like to make an official visit to the United Arab Emirates next February, and this visit will be a response to the visit made by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Ankara.” In response to a question about Turkey’s relations with Egypt and Israel, Erdogan said: “Just as we have taken steps with the UAE, we will take similar steps with both Egypt and Israel.” On the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, Erdogan said: “Turkey wants to participate in addressing the tension between Russia and Ukraine through dialogue with both Kiev and Putin.” Internally, Erdogan touched on the fluctuations in the exchange rate of the Turkish lira, saying: “We will address the problems caused by high prices due to fluctuations in the exchange rate that have no economic basis.”
